Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an AI chatbot?

No. There is no model and no server: a ranking algorithm picks the sentences that best represent the document. The result never contains wording that is not in the PDF.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

Only if the PDF already has a text layer. A pure scan needs OCR first; otherwise the tool has nothing to read and will tell you so.

Why are some important sentences missing?

Extraction favours frequent vocabulary and clear statements, so an argument made once with unusual words can be skipped. Choose the long summary, or read the source when the decision matters.
